Now that we have private messaging , it would be to view who's online. i look at that often to get a feel of how active the site is. Also to check to see if someone is on i need to talk to. I'd rarely leave the app for safari if we could see who was online with the app. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have to constantly leave the app and go to my mobile skin so I can moderate as needed. I get emails of spam and reported posts, and I have no way to handle those situations within the app. I'm not complaining about that yet though because I am hoping that they will put some much needed moderation tools in there sometime in the near future.
Yeah that would be nice. But I'd like to see my users happy before I am. I won't to make things easier for them via thr iPhone. Then us owners. So far so good. I think what we need now is quote, edit, who's online, upload a pic to post, and as avatar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I def agree.. I dont have private messaging capabilities yet but that is def a major reason for me using safari...also I cant see my notifications...I like knowing when someone reps me It would also be nice if we were able to go directly to the last post instead of having to open a thread then go to newest posts i have more but I will be back I 4 got
Good stuff folks - for moderation it is really nice to have but I admit that it takes a lot of effort to engineer this but it only for moderators. I think the time-value ratio is a little low while we are ready overwhelmed by other "must-have" feature requests. It appears to me the all the requested features are a must-have.. Anyhow these all good - nothing better than user feedback. BTW, we are finishing up the "Quote" support and should be ready in next Beta releases.
What makes me leave? One thing I've notice is becus of missing post... Someone might quote another post that isn't in the last 10 or first 10. And only being able to half the quote with no user name leaves me curious.. But other then that Thanking post, editing , and quoting is one of the main reasons... Quoting is nice but I think being able to edit should be next in the update.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Quote is done folks - we will send out a newer beta version shortly. And of course I want you to stay as long as possible
The members on my sites use the vB calendar heavily for scheduling workouts, team events, etc. so as a regular forum user myself that's mostly why I switch to Safari.
I thought we were going to ne able to quote with this update i'm a little disappointed .. So quoting will be a big reason I use safari now
Being able to view the tags on a thread is probably the main reason I'd have to load safari. Some of the tags in the forum I use are sometimes funnier than the actual comments in the thread. Don't even want to be able to click the tags at the mo, just see them, that could be added later. Not sure how you'd implement this into the current interface. Maybe on the topics list if you clicked the arrow on the right it could give you more info about that thread, Topic starter, date, time, first bit of the thread, number of posts, last poster, date, time and then tags with a link to starting to topic from the start or end. Where as if you just click the actual topic it just takes you to the thread itself as it does at the moment.
I don't leave it for Safari ever...I just wait until I get to a "real" computer... Although I agree modding would be nice...but I can wait on that. A big plus imo for the users would be to add upload support. Take a picture with your phone, and immediately upload that would be wicked cool.
Yup yup we know we hear you!! We need to slow down a bit as we burnt too much mid-night oil past two months.. taking a short break but expect to see something amazing in 1.3
I have to leave Tapatalk to use Safari if I want to make a new thread. On my forum we require thread prefixes. Browsing and replying isn't a problem, but when you want to create a new thread, you need to click a dropdown list to select the appropriate thread prefix. That isn't an option with Tapatalk.
