Hello, i use Tapatalk free and i thinking of buying the pro version now when it is possible to do it on slideme. I have a issue first and i think i should post a question here first and see if it changes in the pro version.

When i go to a forum i have a unread button, when i go in to the different treads and read the post and then goes back to the start of the forum, that tread still marks as unread. it that a way to make that treads that i already has read also marks it as read and can i make a tread mark as read

You can click menu and refresh to make the view get fresh unread threads.

Also, we will think about how to improve it. How about auto refresh the view when you back to the "latest" tab?

That dosent hide the thread i just watched. I tried both back button and menu and close in settings. And when i go back i have 60 unread topics, the same as before i watch the latest thread. I tried in both xda forum and in some others.

About your ide that it auto refresh i think that is a great idea

Funny, worked fine for me. I read a thread, go back, hit refresh, that thread doesn't show up in my unread list. Are you logged in? Not logged in may cause this...

So after I read the last post I have to go back out and hit refresh or can I do it within the post? Let me try and see if it saves my last read.

It seems like it works on some forum, but not in some. In here and on xda it seems working, but in swedroid.se for example it does not work. Is it something the forum moderators have to do?
  9. timn2bama New Member

Yes seems like some forums remember your last read and some don't like android central.

Ok its working now I think!

I works assume that its more of a outdated forum package that can cause it not to work..

In my case the problem is om WWW. Swedroid.se on xda I have no problem, and in here I have no problem

I think we (Swedroid) have found what was causing the issue with read posts showing up as unread for xx minutes. Please try again and see if the issue is sorted on your end as well. It's most definitely working on our end at least.

Please make sure you do not use cookies to set read/unread for the user. check your forum systems to make sure it always use database to keep track.

Yes, you are indeed correct. This is what we changed and now everything seems to be working just fine, save for a negligible increase in CPU consumption when the forum itself has to handle the read/unread thing.

    Cheers!
