Issue: -My avatar doesn't show up when I click "My Info" as it used to. A refresh was unsuccessful. -When typing a post in landscape mode, the "Send" button is disabled. Is this the way it is supposed to be? -When typing a post, Tapatalk doesn't seem to respond to line breaks (returns) and instead just puts the text after the line break right up against the last line. -If the phone goes to sleep while viewing content, upon waking the phone, the app jumps back to the main area. -I'm still getting permission errors that require logging out and back in to resolve. Seems to happen after the phone goes to sleep while in Tapatalk, which brings the app back to the main screen where you are required to choose the forum you want to enter- without the login dialog... -The app crashed on me, but I have no idea why. I was viewing a thread and then it jumped back to the Tapatalk main area then the app crashed. I didn't touch anything when it happened. Comments: -LOVE the landscape keyboard, thank you for that!! -Thank you for reworking the Tapatalk signature line, but I have a request about that... Can it be wrapped in BBCODE to make it the smallest font (Size 1)? On my forums, since my text areas are white, I would personally make that line the smallest font and make the color grayish. This would make it visible but not make it stand out so much. That color scheme may not work for others', so maybe a way to control this option via file edit or config file? The Future? -Will Tapatalk support moderation functions such as editing and deleting posts/threads? This is especially helpful with SPAM. -Shake to refresh threads/posts -While typing a post, shake to clear all text
The time is incorrect.... I am also having the same issues as reported above. In the photo below.. the time on the phone is correct. the post shown in the picture was created just before I took the snapshot. Notice the time in the post if long after the time on the phone. This did happen today.
Jimmy, are you talking about the "Sent from iPhone using Tapatalk" line or the user-specific signature?
Yes it is disabled because we had some trouble with the SDK how the next screen should handle. Since you need to shift to portrait mode anyway for further action we thought this should be acceptable. What do you guys think?
Sent from iPhone using Tapatalk- it would be cool if we could control how that was displayed, even if it took a file edit. Personally, I would use it, which is how I found out that it doesn't work. However, if it came to the not having the landscape mode at all, I would deal with the send button not working until the phone is back in portrait mode. I thought it was fixed too, which is how you got the Tapatalk signature to move down, but I tried to today and it wouldn't work.
I don't know man.. this is the 3rd time i heard from forum owner requesting it but it sounds kind of... i mean, how does this action relates to "refresh"? I feel it is more appropiate to "random"? I don't want to get sued if your iphone beinig shaked out from your hands and is damaged we will add this if we hear a similar request from another forum owner. How's that?
It doesn't have to be a violent "throw your phone against the ceiling" shake, just a simple shake like using the Urbanspoon App of the "shake to shuffle" in the iPod App. I have iBowl on my, where the instructions suggest that you use a bowling like motion to play the game, and after the swing, you have to take your thumb off of the screen to release the ball... If they don't get sued for iPhones and iPods flying across the room, you won't LMAO
it doesnt show the quote with in a post. that was kind fo confusing today when i was reading the forum.
Yeah, I've had to adjust to that since the beginning of the pilot. But I guess it would be kind of data intensive to pull all of the quotes as well, which would also extend the size of the thread's depth. I guess this one of those "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situations.
damned if u don't is worse. IMO winter quoted me in one of her responses. i remember thinking i wonder who she responded to. check from a pc and it was me. hahaa
I see your point, and I don't disagree. It can be especially hard to figure out who someone was talking to when there a several other posts between your response and theirs...
This is our to-do list and will re-visit it very soon. Haven't figured out the best way to hand it on such a small screen - but we'll try out best anyway.
i get that error when my post doesnt go through. i personally think the message should say something like failed to reply to thread/topic. you don't have permision to reply to thread/topic. OK instead of fine(to conform to apple's standards)
When viewing posts and you get to the bottom. The "more" button shows up, which is fine if there were more posts to view. However of it is the last post, it just adds the start of the thread to the bottom. Very confusing. Essentially if it is indeed the newest post the "more" button should not appear. This is just my thoughts. What are ur thoughts on this Winter?is there a way to make the "more" button disappear if you reach the end of the thread? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
