I would love to see these two features to be added after you guys are done with private messageing. It would be great if iphone usesrs could register for our forums from with in the app. Having to exit the app and register via the full blown site on safari would deter perspecitve new members from joining our sites. i believe having this capabilty with in the app would increase the chance iphone users to register for a forum. i also think it would be good to add the ability to use facebook connect to register. giving users the choice to register the normal way or via facebook connect. this would report stories back to peeps walls. which would also help the app/forum. friends of these users may get curious by the stories on the news feed and buy the themself. stories would be, repleied to threads, starta thread, etc here is some info on facebook connect for the iphone http://developers.facebook.com/connect_iphone.php http://www.macworld.com/article/139421/2009/03/facebookconnect.html ALSO i would love to see Who's online support with in the app. initially could show the members avatar along with last time of activity. then later add to show what the person is doing on the board like what thread they are viewing, sending a pm, viewing a forum, etc.....
when the app grows it would be nice to be able to select what icons we would like as our main buttons. i attached a screen shot from an app i use that does this. u just drag ur desired icons to the bottom Any thoughts on my above original post?
I totally agree for the registration function. A simple page with a captcha function will do the trick and make tapatalk evern more complete. No need for facebook connect at present time. I also agree, it's a one way ticket for tapatalk when it will have many features
From what I read the facebook connect is fairly quick and easy to add. When I see apps that allow facebook connect to register i'm much quicker to register than if I had to start from scratch. It would help smaller forums like mine grow. Some type of registration is a must though. Winter there is. Problem with his reply and my quote in his response. Finally we got the time to check out the Facebook Connect iPhone extension. Looks promising. But my question is: what do you expect the feed appear on Facebook? So you want to see something like: Pete Bratach Pete recently created a new topic on <FORUM_NAME> from iPhone Follow Pete's topic "When we can see Facebook support in Tapatalk?" at <FORUM_NAME> This is interesting but we will need to discuss the frequency of this kind of feed to appear on Facebook before it annoys your friends.. well there is already a facebook connect mod made for vbulletin. modmyi.com even uses it. it posts a feed to my wall every time i reply to a post. to be honest with ya winter. the whole wall story thing has annoyed me for ever a year. haha thats one of the things that annoyed me about facebook. all their apps and app invites, app stories. i figured hell if i can't beatem join them. hahaha i have had a good bit of peeps join because of facebook connect. the frequency thing is a hard thing to figure out though. but i would say post a story EVERY time the user CREATES a thread. hmm im not sure if this can be done but post a story to someones wall when they respond to a thread once per 30 minutes or 60 minutes. meaning. ifi reply to a thread 30 times in 2 hours, i only have 2 to 4 posts to my wall depending on if its ever 30 minutes or once and hour that it posts to my wall for the specific thread. the other way to do it would be every X posts. maybe have it posts to someone's wall every 10 posts. so if i replied to a tread 40 times its shows on my wall 4 times. that seems the easiest way to program it. so it would show on wall thread replies thread starts in notifications(only seen by the user) it would notify them of. new private messages new friend request when they receive an infraction/warning(not that important but would be nice) when they receive a reputation(not that important but would be nice) i really think registration is important for this app. facebook connect would be a HUGE PLUS and add to the many things this app offers and will offer. thanks tapatalk team for taken the register via app suggestion seriously. i hope who's online is looked at in the future. now that i can post via 3g to my site i use the app much more and im exiting the app often to see who's online. i know users of my site uses who's online much more than i do. if it's used like that on my site. i suspect its used like that on many other sites

i currently use that mod and i see threads created by me and peeps that reply to it in my notification im also notified when i recieve a message on my site i think that mod shold be installed here just as it is on modmyi.com. i mentioned this in my previous post
This mod is not supported from his coder since March. It may be a useful mod but without support ...... sorry I'll pass. About the iphone facebook connect, you can have a look at the netflix application. Every time you enter some information to the application, the facebook connect box pops up and asks you if you want to publish this on your facebook account. I still believe that tapatalk first should have a simple registration page and then the team could embed advanced features like fb connect.
