I have installed the Guest First Post Only mod on my forum. This mod only shows the first post of a thread to guests. After it displays the first post, it then displays a message telling the guest to login or register. I'd like to keep this mod enabled as I have found giving potential members a sneak preview helps drive registrations. Of course TapaTalk does not support this mod, therefore any guest viewing my forum using TapaTalk can see all posts. What I would really like is to deny guests all privileges if they are using TapaTalk to view my forum. Is this at all possible?
Hi Wseries, Thanks for the suggestion and it gives a different perspective of what forum owners really want. As you can image we are rushing to support the official features before we can spend effort to get the unofficial things done - and if this were a quick fix by all mean we will support it. Let us record this request and we should be able to revisit soon.. Mean while I am just curious - assuming iPhone users are just a portion of your overall members - perhaps it is okay to to let the guest to access it and if they really like your forum, they will want to use a full-on browser to access it anyway? Hm...
