Great app, just loaded it and have been using it for a couple of days now before I "release" to the membership. One question though, our forum is Black with white text. Like that I can add the icons so there is some consistency, but is there a way to invert the color scheme so that the text is white and the background is black?
Hi, currently tapatalk can not support customization background or font or color. However you can specify different forum icon for each forums and here is the reference; http://www.tapatalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=309 Also we'll consider to contain those features you required in later release. Thanks
Being able to personalize it a little bit is the way to go - it is just a bit tedious to implement in an app, not like we can change the stylesheet in the mobile skin. I am placing this suggestion into the "Feature Request" bucket. Thank you.
Thanks. Not trying to ask for full stylesheet support, just the ability to specify a background and font color. Maybe even if it was on the iPhone app side, not even the board. It''s not really practical to try and get too fancy with something on this scale. I did the custom icons, that works well. One suggestion I have with that is it would be nice to make one called default.png and just have every forum use that unless otherwise specified. I have about 85 forums and subforums. While it was pretty easy to make photoshop batch the files for me to copy the same icon 130 times (for future growth), it would have been far easier to just have it reference a "default". I could just mod the php to make it do this, but I prefer to leave things in their intended state in case I need support later. I'm funny that way. Once again, great app and thanks for at least considering these changes.
Im trying to update the 'default' ? green text on black to ourdefault style , orange text on dark grey - can text and background colours we easily altered in newer versions of tapatalk ? thanks,
To a degree I think the point of Tapatalk is to avoid the colour overload of some forums by providing a clean high contrast black on white text interface.
technically black and green - and since our site colours are black and orange I dont think its unreasonable asking for some rudamentary customisations on this?
I assume that is the default on Android, iPhone it is black on white. Nothing wrong with being able to customise the colours, but that should be optional rather than default. I see Tapatalk as an accessability app, allowing low data, easy to read, easier to navigate access to forums. Otherwise why would you bother to use it instead of the browser.
