Sphinx Search Integration with Tapatalk
Are you running with Sphinx Search on vBulletin? Default Tapatalk works with majority of Sphinx-based Search Enhancement without any modification!
Installation with Push Notification (Recommended)
- Place the zip package at the root of your forum system.
- Unzip the package. You should see a directory called "mobiquo" inside your forum system root directory. For example, if your forum URL is http://www.mysite.com/forum, it should be placed at http://www.mysite.com/forum/mobiquo/.
- Login to Administration Control Panel
- Go to 'Plugin & Products' -> 'Manage Products' and click 'Add/Import Products' on the page bottom.
- Import the XML file 'product-tapatalk.xml' found inside the "mobiquo" directory in your server. To import, choose 'Import the XML file from your server' and enter './mobiquo/product-tapatalk.xml', click the "Import" button.

Push Notification support in vBulletin 3.7, 3.8 and 4.x
To verify Push Notification works with your forum. Visit {Your forum root url path}/mobiquo/push.php using a Web Browser. You should receive a message 'Tapatalk push notification test: Success'. If you do not receive this message, Tapatalk can still work but without push notification feature. Get help here.
Installation for vBulletin 3.6 (Legacy)
- Place the zip package at the root of your forum system.
- Unzip the package. You should see a directory called "mobiquo" inside your forum system root directory. For example, if your forum URL is http://www.mysite.com/forum, it should be placed at http://www.mysite.com/forum/mobiquo/.
- Login to Administration Control Panel
- Choose "Style Manager" under "Styles and Templates"
- For each templates you have installed (Both Desktop and Mobile Skin):
- Click "Edit" in your current template
- Choose "headinclude" in the list, click "Edit"
- At the beginning of the editor, insert the following line:
<script type="text/javascript" src="mobiquo/tapatalkdetect.js"></script> - Click "Save".
- If you have more than one template installed (especially the mobile template), redo the Edit template steps above for each template.
Update Tapatalk Plugin
- Redo the Installation steps detailed above.(Make sure plugin directory mobiquo/ was replaced with the new one, and product xml file was imported)
Uninstall Tapatalk
- Login to Admin Console, Go to 'Plugin & Products' -> 'Manage Products' to Remove 'Tapatalk' product.
- FTP to your forum, look for "mobiquo" directory in the root directory of your forum.
- Delete "mobiquo" directory.
- Remove your forum record from Tapatalk Network by clicking the "Delete" button under your forum icon on the left of the current screen.
